Floods in Kedarnath - Leaving Behind a Trail of Destruction and Death

The flash that hit Uttarakhand has caused havoc destruction all across the valley with Kedarnath being the most impacted. The disaster that pounced Uttarakhand and mainly Kedarnath left thousands dead and several stranded.

 

 

Only God can answer why the skies bust when the pilgrimage to the Char Dham commences! The villages beside the rivers Alakananda and Bhagirathi were simply washed away and complete left abandoned. The compound and the surrounding area of Kedarnath temple has now got transformed to creation ground with numerous dead bodies strewed all across the area.

The residents of villages near Kedarnath are not only facing considerable food shortage, but the hazard of deploy of epidemics can’t be ruled out. Although, thousands of people have been rescued by the rescue teams from Army and other forces, there are several more that are still awaiting relief in this kind of Kedarnath weather.
 
Though Government played a crucial role in offering relief to the impacted people but there were several loopholes that became apparent during the rescue operations that if had been taken care of could have lessened the damage to a considerable extent. It is still just a matter of concern that even after encountering so many initial contingencies, no companies steps have been taken to face such disasters after Kedarnath registration.

The huge flood at Kedarnath has left behind a trail of destruction and death in the whole valley.
